Together with UN ECLAC and IRENA, GET.transform offers a new series of virtual seminars on Long-Term Energy Scenarios (LTES) for a clean energy transition. The series builds on IRENA’s LTES Network and focuses on the development and use of long-term energy scenarios to guide national energy plans in Latin America, including efforts to enhance energy scenarios to capture the complexities of the transition to clean energy. Experts will share insights on scenario development and application, as well as capacity building for government institutions.
Each event will host presentations from two countries in the region. The series will kick-off with LTES experiences from Brazil and Colombia on 3 February (12:00pm CLST). Speakers include:
