The German Embassy in Peru, with support of the German-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Peru), hosted the Climate Talks Peru (Climate Dialogues Peru 2024). The two-day event provided an opportunity for public and private sector actors to discuss the energy matrix, the use of renewable energies and the development of a green hydrogen ecosystem in Peru.

GET.transform contributed expert insights to the conference. GET.transform Country Coordinator Daniel Cumpa moderated a panel discussing energy regulation and the promotion of renewable energy resources in Peru. Caspar Priesemann, GET.transform advisor, participated as a panelist and gave an overview on regulatory conditions and support mechanisms to foster renewable energy development in the country.

The state of play and future projections of Peru’s energy landscape were at the heart of all expert exchanges at the event. The sector was well represented through participation of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM), the regulatory authority Osinergmin, the power system operator COES and a diversity of other public, and private sector players.
