Held on 26–27 November in Mendoza, Argentina, the 60th Meeting of Senior Executives of the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER) convened more than 200 senior leaders across the Latin American and Caribbean energy sector, alongside representatives of GET.transform. Co-organised by CIER and the Argentina Committee of CIER (CACIER), the meeting targeted the future of energy integration and system transformation across the region, with dedicated inputs from government authorities, regulators, utilities and development partners.
The event opened with interventions from national and provincial authorities, including the Secretary of Energy of Argentina, the Minister of Energy and the Vice Governor of the Province of Mendoza, the President of CIER, And Michael Mechlinski representing GET.transform, .

While the two entities have collaborated very actively for the last two years, the agreement reinforces a partnership to implement joint activities that support institutional capacity, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue for energy initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The conference programme was structured around eight thematic blocks that addressed the pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the region’s energy transition. Sessions explored the changing role of distribution companies in an environment of distributed generation and increased prosumer engagement, as well as the transmission infrastructure required to support national and regional decarbonisation goals. Innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and leadership development were highlighted as key elements driving modernisation across the sector. GET.transform contributed to the technical discussions throughout the meeting. Antonio Levy participated in the panel on policies and regulation for regional integration, offering insights on regulatory alignment and the enabling frameworks needed to facilitate cross-border power exchanges.
In addition to technical sessions, CIER presented its annual awards, recognising companies that demonstrated excellence in innovation, service quality, customer satisfaction, and distribution performance. The event concluded with CIER’s annual Central Committee meeting, where the new leadership was elected.
