From 30 September to 3 October 2025, leaders, experts, and decision-makers from across Latin America and the Caribbean will gather in Santiago, Chile, for the X Energy Week, organised by OLADE in partnership with the Chilean Ministry of Energy, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, and GET.transform. As the region’s most important platform for energy dialogue, the event will address key themes such as decarbonisation, energy security, digitalisation, regional integration, and just transitions. Stakeholders from governments, development institutions, regulators, private companies, and academia will engage in high-level sessions and technical forums.
GET.transform will help strengthen the region’s ties with international expertise in addressing power system challenges. By linking with initiatives such as EUROCLIMA, ProTransición, and Interfaz IKI, it builds a bridge between global agendas (EU, GIZ, BMZ) and the priorities of OLADE member countries. In addition, GET.transform supports EU and BMZ missions, facilitates networking spaces, and leverages collaboration with sister initiatives, ensuring that regional debates are enriched with global perspectives on the energy transition.
In the Master Session, Michael Mechlinski, GET.transform Regional Window Coordinator for Central America, will join OLADE, IDB, and the World Bank to discuss “Connecting Latin America and the Caribbean: How to achieve a regional energy market?”
At the III Regulators’ Forum, Antonio Levy, GET.transform Senior Advisor, will collaborate with the Ibero-American Association of Energy Regulators (ARIAE) to present on the regulatory challenges of the energy transition and regional power integration of power systems.
During the Regional Power Integration Forum, Daniel Cumpa, GET.transform Country Coordinator for Peru, will share insights on “Advancing the Energy Transition with an Emphasis on Regional Power System Integration”, with a focus on initiatives such as SIEPAC, SINEA, SIESUR, SICA, and CAN, and comparative lessons from other regions.
Finally, in the high-level Special Panel marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, Daniel Werner, Programme Manager of GET.pro, will reflect on its impact on the sector and projections for its evolution in a high-level panel discussion.
Join X Energy Week to delve into latest power system insights and foster practical, collaborative, and forward-looking outcomes for the region.
